Hi HP wiki!
I'm here to talk about Underrated Houses, but of course you already know that because you have read the title.
*face palms at how awkward I'm being*
Anyway, let's just get started.
Gryffindor
I believe that, in the rush of not underrating other houses, Gryffindor is often forgotten. Yes, the books focus on Gryffindor, and yes, the other houses are often pushed aside, but I have this feeling that people sometimes spend too much time on other houses. The books focus on Gryffindor because Harry, Ron and Hermione were sorted into it. That's the simple explanation.
Slytherin.
Now, Slytherin is considered the 'evil' house, but people fawn over Slytherin because they feel that Slytherin isn't portrayed well enough. Well, cold hard fact says that the most Death Eaters came out of Slytherin, and that's that. I do agree that Slytherin sometimes is portrayed as too cold and mean, and I show that opinion in my shipping of Dramione, but still...
Hufflepuff.
Hufflepuff, in my humble opinion, receives just the right amount of attention, thank you very much. A lot of great people came out of there, Cedric and Nymphadora (DON'T CALL ME NYMPHADORA) just to name two, and loyalty and kindness is often a virtue taken for granted by others. On the other hand, people often fawn over Hufflepuff too much, as people believe it's underrated.
Ravenclaw.
I fervently believe that Ravenclaw is MAJORLY underrated. This is not me being biased, even though I am a Ravenclaw, this is my real, neutral opinion. I think that Ravenclaw is pushed aside as 'the smart house', even though the Sorting Hat seriously considered putting Hermione there. Some of my friends even HATE on Ravenclaw just because of Cho and her 'I-don't-know-how-I-feel-about-Harry'-ness and Luna and her 'I'm-weird-and-I-know-it-and-am-proud-of-it'-ness.
Conclusion.
Gryffindor: Underrated
Slytherin: Overrated
Hufflepuff: Perfect Amount of Attention
Ravenclaw: Underrated
This is just my opinion, feel free to argue with me about it in the comments (ooh I love a good argument about Harry Potter) and I will gladly take my side of the argument or just accept that you win, which will probably never happen but...
Okay I'm rambling now, I'll go and sign off to spare you the bores of being next to me when I get tongue-twisted.
