Dumbledore's Army is a group created by students who disagreed with Professor Umbridge's teaching methods.

Dumbledore's army first met at the Hog's Head where they thought nobody could overhear them. When an Order member happened to be at Hog's Head the same day and time they reported back to Albus Dumbledore.

Dumbledore's Army elected Harry as leader. They then met in the Room of Requirement and used coins to communicate the time and date of the next meeting. Ginny was the one who spoke up and said to name the group Dumbledore's Army because the Ministry of Magic did not like Dumbledore at that time. They sign their names and continue meeting until Marietta Edgecombe tells Professor Umbridge about the group, which resulted in Dumbledore escaping from the Ministry's grasp and Umbridge becomes Headmistress.
