Professor Moody is the first moment in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Chapter 14, The Unforgivable Curses.

There was a flash of blinding green light and a rushing sound, as though a vast, invisible something was soaring through the air — instantaneously the spider rolled over onto its back, unmarked, but unmistakably dead. Several of the girls stifled cries; Ron had thrown himself backwards and almost toppled off his seat as the spider skidded towards him. Moody swept the dead spider off the desk onto the floor. ‘Not nice,’ he said calmly. ‘Not pleasant. And there’s no counter-curse. There’s no blocking it. Only one known person has ever survived it, and he’s sitting right in front of me.’

Zoom levels

There are no zoom levels as such: the picture remains mostly static throughout. As you "zoom in" (by double-clicking or using the keyboard) you progress as follows:

1. Moody is ready: you can collect the card and book at this point if you wish.
2. Moody gets out a spider and performs the Imperius Curse on it, making it caper around the desk to much hilarity.
3. Moody returns the spider to the jar.
4. Moody gets out another spider, whereupon Ron pushes his desk back: Moody demonstrates the Cruciatus Curse and you can hear Neville whimpering.
5. Moody returns the spider to the jar.
6. Moody gets out another spider which scurries around the table: when you mouse over his hand Moody casts the Killing Curse on it. You can hear the horrified reaction of the class, and you can now collect the spider legs.

• The card is on the blackboard.
• Basic Hexes for the Busy and Vexed can be found in the bookcase on the right, top shelf.
• The Spider Legs become available once Moody has killed the third spider: they are on the ground in front of the bookcase.
• The spiders in the jar will scurry about when you mouse over them: there are different numbers according to your progress.
