Something Peculiar is Happening is the second moment in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Chapter 1, The Boy Who Lived.


A man appeared on the corner the cat had been watching, appeared so suddenly and silently you'd have thought he'd just popped out of the ground. The cat's tail twitched and its eyes narrowed…



Zoom levels

This moment has 3 zoom levels.

Zoom one

  • The cat's tail twitches when you move the mouse over it.
  • The Deluminator turns off the lights when you move over it.
  • Click on the lamppost next to Dumbledore to unlock "Measurements". (Note: some people can't get this to work, but mousing over the curtain seems to work.)

Zoom two

The closed curtain on the top right of the left house opens.

Zoom three

Zoom three contains nothing of interest


The streetlight hums, an owl hoots every once in a while and a dog barks periodically.
