The Tongue-Tying Spell, also called the Tongue-Tying Curse (Mimble Wimble) is one of the spells found in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.


The Tongue-Tying Curse is one of the spells in the spellbook Curses and Counter-Curses by Vindictus Viridian. It can be used in dueling.


Ties tongue in knot

The Tongue-Tying Spell makes the victim's tongue stick to the roof of their mouth for a short while, making it impossible to speak.


This spell can be used in Wizard's Dueling.


Its full incantation is: "Mimble Wimble", but the letters required for its casting are: M, M, B, W, M, L.



Currently the maximum potency of the Tongue-Tying Spell is 142, making it the second strongest spell for dueling, after Full Body-Bind.


  • This spell is called the "Tongue-Tying Spell" in the spellbook, but when selecting for a duel it is referred to as the "Tongue-Tying Curse".
