The unicorn and the Hooded Figure
Unicorns are horse-like creatures. They are the purest beings. Their horn and hair can be used for various potions and bandages. Their blood should never be used in potions, as it will give the drinker a cursed half-life.

Unicorns in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone
Unicorns are first introduced in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. When Harry, Hermione, Ron and Draco serve their detention with Hagrid in the Forbidden Forest, it is their task to find a wounded unicorn.
Harry and Draco end up finding the creature dead, while a hooded figure is drinking its blood. Harry's scar burns upon seeing the figure, but he is rescued by the centaur Firenze who leads him safely back to Hagrid.
