Wizarding Money consists of Galleons, Sickles, and Knuts.

Introduction[]

"Wizarding Money" is first discovered in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, chapter 5, Diagon Alley, "Arriving at Diagon Alley".

The currency of the wizarding world is divided into Galleons, Sickles and Knuts. Galleons are large gold coins, Sickles are silver, and Knuts small and bronze. There are twenty-nine Knuts to a Sickle and seventeen Sickles to a Galleon.
