Wolfsbane Potion
Wolfsbane - the main ingredient of the Wolfsbane Potion.
is a draught mentioned by J.K. Rowling in the third book. Remus Lupin has to drink it in order to be his 'mental self' during the transformation into a werewolf.

"Wolfsbane Potion is a relatively recent discovery that allows werewolves to remain safe during the full moon. A complex potion, it must be drunk during the week preceding a full moon. The potion allows the werewolf to keep their human mind after the transformation, so they are able to wait for the moon to wane as a harmless wolf.
Severus Snape makes the Wolfsbane Potion for Remus Lupin whilst the latter is a teacher at the school."
